1 Redditch at home on Boxing Day. on Sun Dec 22 2013, 00:30

I'm having lunch out at a place where the service is notoriously slow.

If kick off could be delayed it would be appreciated but if not i'd be grateful if Stour could score all 7 goals in the second half when i should definitely be in the ground.

Many thanks.

If that's Christmas Lunch then service must be very very slow!

I notice outside the ground that there's a poster which proclaims:

BOXING DAY (26th December)

Now, does anyone actually need clarification as to when Boxing Day is?

Bored of playing Redditch. The only plus is that we're at home, not away. Big game, we're not out of it just yet but we MUST go 10/15matches unbeaten now.

Yeah…..public bus from Worcester to Stour sounds like a cracking idea.

Tricky will only need to set out in the morning, missing Xmas with his kids and Xmas lunch and should arrive back by early January!

Hope it's a bloody fantastic match.

How about getting Glentoran over for a friendly Jim.

Even 5 away fan's would drink the club dry :-)

You shouldn't talk about yourself like that Jim.

I always forget who you support…..you have so many team's that you're worse than M6 Dave :-)

I suppose you're a Liverpool fan this week?

This one worries me a bit. Redditch aren't in the greatest form (lost their last five away, although not so bad at home these days) but I think they'll make life difficult for us as other teams have done to good effect.

If we can't get an early goal then it could be a long afternoon. Home games against Redditch often seem to end up in 1-0 wins thanks to late goals. I'd take another one of those at 5pm on Thursday but I'm not looking forward to the preceeding two hours if that's how it turns out!

That's if it's on, of course. Even our pitch must have its limits with all this rain!

There will be a presentation on the pitch before the game to Nathan to mark his 400th game at Biggleswade recently, so don't get hanging around in the bar and miss it. Nathan (like Leon) has given his all for SFC down the years.

A well deserved gesture, Nathan is not only a great player who has given Stour great service, but a really nice guy too.
I believe he could have played at a higher level, but has given his all to the Stour cause.
He rarely has a bad game and nearly always gets a mention in the MotM voting.
For a defender his card count is low and when he is booked it's usually as TRM once said to me, 'taking one for the team'.
For me Nathan is a true Stour legend

How often has Nathan missed a game through suspension? Not sure I can remember it EVER happening, which is astonishing for a centre back.

I certainly can't remember it. Even two yellow cards in two successive games recently (Burnham and Stevenage I think) drew comment because of how rare it is. He is very level headed on the pitch and has been absolutely fantastic for us down the years. Must be one of the most popular players we've ever had, and he's scored a winning goal against us as well!

Benbow hits the post with a delightful curling shot then Geddes had a pile driver palmed away for a corner
