Hinckley and Kettering - Financial meltdown time.

Looks like the bell is tolling for this pair during the next week with winding up orders due to be heard against both.

It's alway's the fan's who suffer though,what a catastrophe especially at Kettering.

A club like that with such a strong and loyal fan base should be a "no brainer" to get working properly at Conference level.

A real opportunity over there if ever they can find the right person to take the club by the horn's.

There doesn't seem to be much hope for Hinckley. Saturday at Chesham was treated as the "wake" by the supporters.

Kettering may have a fighting chance. We shall see.

Yes, the supporters suffer, but it isn't them who get the clubs into messes like this - it's almost always people who have come in from outside, with vague promises of this, that and the other, and who are not supporters of the club to their core.

If there is a "bright side" to these situations, it's that it wipes the slate clean and allows the fans to get hold of the debris and start again without all the baggage - Newport, Nuneaton, Chester, Halifax, Darlington...

Exactly TRM,Kettering will be a great opportunity for the fan's themselves to set up a new club.

Under a new regime they should easily get 1000 fans if they get back to Kettering and league football within 10 years should be their aim.

Continuing the theme, problems at Bashley...

"we have to accept that success this season will be in completing our fixtures and balancing the books." - doesn't sound too promising. Bashley is one of the friendliest clubs in this League and they've done brilliantly on their crowds and for the size of the place to sustain step 3 football for so long. Would be a terrible shame if they went the same way as Hinckley.
